Rekha Thapa joined ICIMOD in March 2012. Currently, she is working with HI-AWARE as a Programme Associate where she coordinates, manages, and supports administrative and logistical functions. Thapa has over nine years of work experience – in administration and programme units at the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Nepal (UN-OHCHR) and as the Supervisor of Early Child Care Development in Plan International Nepal. She has a bachelor’s degree in Rural Development and a master’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Padma Kanya Multiple Campus in Kathmandu. She has a diploma in community development from the New Era Development Institute (NEDI), Panchagani, Maharasthra, India. Thapa has participated in several trainings on human rights monitoring skills, child care development and research methods.
